Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn, "Regulator No. 15", standing jeweler's regulator, 8 day, time only, nickel plated weight driven movement, mercury pendulum with thumbprint glass jar in walnut case with burl walnut highlights and hinged storage in base with silvered dial and center sweep seconds hand
CONDITION:
the case retains some of its old finish which has had a new product applied as an overcoat. The four pad feet and the upper door lock are absent. There is a scratch on trim along outer right side of backboard and a chip to one of the rosettes on right side of trunk. The dial has been resilvered and the hands need to be reblued. We sold an excellent example of the Regulator No. 14 from the Wasserman collection in October of 2011 for $29,000 plus 12.5% Buyer's Premium.
